The Omana Bath Sheet, in a more compact size than the Bath Towel, features the twisted thread that defines the entire Omana collection. This thread, hand-twisted by our artisans in Marrakech, borders all 4 sides of the piece and meets at each corner, where it is sewn and then finished with a knot. This piece retains the same craftsmanship as the rest of the collection, designed to complement the bed linen.<\/p>\n
On the Bath Sheet, the twisted thread runs along all 4 sides of a more compact 70 x 140 cm size. Three threads accompany this piece, like the Bath Towel, compared to two on the Hand Towel and Bath Mat, and only one on the Guest Towel.<\/p>\n
At the 4 corners, the threads meet, are sewn together, and end with a knot, a junction that requires the same precision regardless of the piece’s size. On this more compact model, the twist naturally tightens, without losing regularity from one side to the other.<\/p>\n
The artisan then works on a shorter perimeter, where the slightest tension difference between two threads is more noticeable than on a larger piece, requiring constant attention throughout the process.<\/p>\n
A client once asked her for a proposal for bed linen and bath linen for a place with a personal and unique character, which will be revealed later. For this hospitality project, budget remained, as often, a central criterion. Val\u00e9rie Barkowski then proposed working with the Yoyo model for the bed, using a twisted thread.<\/p>\n
This is how Omana was born: a direct response to this twisted-thread bed linen, designed to extend the same artisanal touch to the bathroom. Omana became the house’s first bath linen collection to feature a passementerie finish, a technique previously reserved for bed linen.<\/p>\n
