Designed in exceptionally soft, white mercerized combed cotton, the NIL pillowcase offers absolute comfort against the skin. It highlights a signature house technique: a corded edge, entirely hand-twisted, which outlines the borders and culminates in meticulously hand-shaped passementerie tassels. This ancestral corded craftsmanship is entirely produced in-house by passionate artisans.

This ethical organization allows these women to perpetuate this savoir-faire at their own pace, while benefiting from fairly compensated work. Each element being hand-attached, no two pillowcases are ever entirely identical, which forms the unique charm of this artisanal piece.

The Inspiration Behind the NIL Model

Born from Valérie Barkowski’s passion for the art of corded edges upon her arrival in Marrakech in 1996, the NIL collection infuses Moroccan passementerie with a contemporary spirit. This craftsmanship, which traditionally adorns fine garments, finds new relevance here on designer bed linens.
