OMANA Bath Sheet

The Omana Bath Sheet, in a more compact size than the Bath Towel, features the twisted thread that defines the entire Omana collection. This thread, hand-twisted by our artisans in Marrakech, borders all 4 sides of the piece and meets at each corner, where it is sewn and then finished with a knot. This piece retains the same craftsmanship as the rest of the collection, designed to complement the bed linen.

The finish, explained for this piece

On the Bath Sheet, the twisted thread runs along all 4 sides of a more compact 70 x 140 cm size. Three threads accompany this piece, like the Bath Towel, compared to two on the Hand Towel and Bath Mat, and only one on the Guest Towel.

At the 4 corners, the threads meet, are sewn together, and end with a knot, a junction that requires the same precision regardless of the piece’s size. On this more compact model, the twist naturally tightens, without losing regularity from one side to the other.

The artisan then works on a shorter perimeter, where the slightest tension difference between two threads is more noticeable than on a larger piece, requiring constant attention throughout the process.

The birth of the Omana collection, as told by Valérie Barkowski

A client once asked her for a proposal for bed linen and bath linen for a place with a personal and unique character, which will be revealed later. For this hospitality project, budget remained, as often, a central criterion. Valérie Barkowski then proposed working with the Yoyo model for the bed, using a twisted thread.

This is how Omana was born: a direct response to this twisted-thread bed linen, designed to extend the same artisanal touch to the bathroom. Omana became the house’s first bath linen collection to feature a passementerie finish, a technique previously reserved for bed linen.

– Dimensions: 70 cm x 140 cm. Our pieces are woven on large looms and maintain standard dimensions; a specific size would require dedicated production, reserved for hospitality projects or large quantity orders.

– Please note: a larger size, the Omana Bath Towel (100 x 150 cm), is available for more spacious bathrooms.

– Material: 100% cotton terry, 700 gsm, immediate absorption from the first wash

– Solid colors: Beige, Brick, Carmine, Khaki, Plum, Water

– Multicolor options: Aqua, Crush, Fog, Haroun

– Twisted thread: available in the same color ranges, customizable upon request (thread color, Pantone reference, or sample)

Composing your bathroom

The Omana Bath Sheet completes the house’s entire bath linen collection. Designed to coordinate with bed linen featuring passementerie finishes (Nil, Yoyo, Yumi, Aya), it also pairs with other bath finishes, notably Memba and Lamu, for a mix of finishes rather than a single range.

The most common everyday size after showering, it fits equally well in a compact powder room or a large bathroom, alongside the Bath Towel.

Care

Wash at 40°C, light and dark colors separately. Machine drying restores cotton’s softness and volume, a gentle iron finishes the piece.

Avoid fabric softeners, which reduce cotton’s absorption capacity over time. The twisted thread knot, at each corner, maintains its hold wash after wash.
