Omana is the house’s first bath collection to feature a passementerie finish, conceived from the outset to complement the bed linen.

The finish, explained for this piece

On the OMANA Bath Towel, the twisted thread runs along all 4 sides of the piece, a wide border that particularly highlights the twist.

Three threads accompany this piece, like the Shower Sheet, compared to two on the Bath Towel and Bath Mat, and only one on the Guest Towel: the larger the piece, the more twisted threads are used, to maintain a visually balanced border.

At the 4 corners, the threads meet, are sewn together, and end with a knot, a junction point that requires equal precision from one angle to another. On a format as wide as the Bath Sheet, this regularity is maintained over a significant border length, without any slackening breaking the twist.

The birth of the Omana collection, as told by Valérie Barkowski

A client once asked her for a proposal for bed linen and bath linen for a place with a personal and unique character, which will be revealed later. For this hospitality project, budget remained, as often, a central criterion. Valérie Barkowski then proposed working with the Yoyo model for the bed, using a twisted thread.

This is how Omana was born: a direct response to this bed linen with a twisted thread finish, designed to extend the same artisanal gesture into the bathroom. Omana becomes the house’s first bath linen collection to receive a passementerie finish, a technique previously reserved for bed linen.

– Dimensions: 100 cm x 150 cm. Our pieces are woven on large looms and maintain standard dimensions; a particular size requires dedicated production, reserved for hospitality projects or large quantity orders.

– Note: a more compact format, the Omana Shower Sheet (70 x 140 cm), is available for smaller bathrooms or washrooms.

– Material: 100% cotton terry, 700 gsm, immediate absorption from the first wash

Composing your bathroom

The Omana Bath Towel pairs with all the house’s bath linen. Designed to complement bed linen with passementerie finishes (Nil, Yoyo, Yumi, Aya), it can also be chosen alongside other bath finishes, notably Memba and Lamu, for those who like to mix styles rather than follow a single range from floor to ceiling.

Care

A first wash at 40°C before use reveals the full softness and absorbency of the terry. Separate light tones from dark tones, and machine drying restores the cotton’s full suppleness. Fabric softeners should be avoided: they reduce the cotton’s absorbency.

This finish withstands the demands of professional washing well. The twisted thread, sewn and knotted at each corner, withstands repeated washes without coming undone.
