Each ILIAS duvet cover is a textile masterpiece, made to order from exceptionally soft mercerized combed cotton. A foundational design created in 1996 by Valérie Barkowski, it is distinguished by its iconic finish of large solid or multicolored tassels, entirely hand-embroidered and assembled in Marrakech.
This original bed linen requires 2 to 4 weeks of craftsmanship to guarantee the authenticity and supreme quality of our house.

The standard dimensions available for the Ilias duvet cover are:

The ILIAS duvet cover is embroidered all around its perimeter with solid or colorful tassels, hand-sewn into the fabric by artisans with golden hands. A precise and high-quality artisanal gesture, meticulously performed in our Marrakech workshop.
Each duvet cover requires between 6.80 and 10 meters of tassels, depending on the size. Because this work is entirely manual, no two Ilias duvet covers are ever strictly identical: slight variations, inherent to any handcrafted piece, are part of the design’s charm.
The Ilias duvet cover pairs with the bed sheet and pillowcase from the same collection, as well as with the NIL bed linen or the Noon collection.

A question often arises: do the tassels last over time? And do the tassels retain their color when washed? The answer is yes, our tassels are very durable and do not bleed. This design required years of development to achieve this level of resistance. Several hotels have chosen the Ilias finish for their bed linen because it passes all professional washing tests.
