The LAMU bath sheet is the namesake, founding model of our bath linens, born from our very first research in 1996. This exceptional piece features a border of handmade tassels across the full width at both ends. Produced continuously since its creation, this model has kept the same prestigious artisanal know-how intact, passed down without ever changing in nature.

On this signature piece, the border of large tassels above all demands absolute dexterity. Each element, shaped by hand one by one, must keep the same thickness and the same length as its neighbor, with no thread protruding once cut, and remain spaced with rigorously equal precision. This exacting standard and geometric regularity are checked tassel by tassel, by eye and by hand, with no template or machine. It is this repeated rigor that sets the authentic signature of the V.Barkowski house apart from a mass-produced imitation or a counterfeit.

• Prestige material: 100% superior-quality cotton terry, with a heavy 700 g/m² weight for softness and immediate absorbency from the very first wash.
• Generous dimensions: 100 x 150 cm, an ideal wraparound format. (Please note: a more compact format, the LAMU bath towel in 70 x 140 cm, is also available for everyday use).
• Terry color: Available in White.
• Tassel color palette: Personalize the LAMU bath sheet by choosing your thread color from our 6 solid shades (Beige, Brick, Carmine, Khaki, Plum, Water) and 4 multicolor shades (Aqua, Crush, Fog, Haroun).
• Bespoke service: Thread color customization to a Pantone reference or fabric swatch is available for your architecture or interior design projects on request at sales@valeriebarkowski.com. (Terry dimensions remain standard; any special size is reserved for large-quantity projects).

Care instructions for artisanal looped cotton

A first machine wash at 40°C before use reveals the full softness and absorbency of the terry. We recommend separating light and dark colors. Tumble drying restores the cotton’s original suppleness, while fabric softeners should be avoided to preserve absorbency. The artisanal stitching withstands repeated washing without coming undone, and the thread retains its original shade over the years.
