The Omana Guest Towel, sold as a set of 2, features the signature hand-twisted thread of the collection in a smaller format. This thread, hand-twisted by our artisans in Marrakech, borders all 4 sides of the piece and meets at each corner, where it is sewn and finished with a knot. On this accent piece, the artisanal craftsmanship remains identical to that of the larger items in the collection.

The finish, explained for this piece

On the Guest Towel, the hand-twisted thread borders a 30 x 50 cm format, the smallest in the Omana collection. A single thread adorns this piece, compared to two on the Bath Towel and Bath Mat, and three on the Bath Sheet and Shower Towel: the twist is more discreet, in proportion to the piece.

At the 4 corners, the threads meet, are sewn together, and end in a knot—a junction requiring the same precision despite the limited space. Reducing the number of threads without compromising standards is what this small format demands: a single thread must both border the piece evenly and hold the junction of the 4 corners, whereas larger pieces distribute this constraint across several threads.

The birth of the Omana collection, as told by Valérie Barkowski

A client once asked her for a proposal for bed linen and bath linen for a place with a personal and unique character, which will be revealed later. For this hospitality project, budget remained, as often, a central criterion. Valérie Barkowski then proposed working with the Yoyo model for the bed, using a twisted thread.

This is how Omana was born: a direct response to this twisted-thread bed linen, designed to extend the same artisanal touch to the bathroom. Omana became the house’s first bath linen collection to feature a passementerie finish, a technique previously reserved for bed linen.

Composing your bathroom

The Omana Guest Towel completes the home’s bath linen set. It can also be chosen on its own to adorn a washbasin or powder room, alongside bed linen with passementerie finishes (Nil, Yoyo, Yumi, Aya), or other bath finishes such as Memba and Lamu. Sold as a set of 2, it is particularly well-suited for guest use in a dedicated bathroom or powder room, in any season.

Care

Wash at 40°C; tumble drying is recommended to maintain the terry cloth’s softness and volume. Separate light and dark colors during washing, and avoid fabric softeners, which reduce the cotton’s absorbency over time. Even on this small format, the stitching of the hand-twisted thread remains secure, wash after wash, and retains its original color.
