The products from the AYA collection are embroidered with thread balls, inspired by the buttons of the traditional Moroccan djellaba.

“This finish, like LAMU and ILIAS, is one of my first interpretations of traditional Moroccan thread work. Upon my arrival in Marrakech in 1996, I was fascinated by passementerie work. These small, entirely handmade balls are used as buttons on djellabas. The idea of incorporating them into my home linen quickly took hold.” Valérie Barkowski.
